Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.
Xun Kuang

We create exhibitions and interactive exhibits for museums and companies looking to introduce new experiences and discovery journeys into their spaces.

Each exhibit is developed around three key elements: the ability to engage visitors at different levels of depth; interdisciplinary content; and modularity of the installation.

FAKE/REAL

INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION

What if everything you think you see were just an illusion? How much can you really trust your eyes?

FAKE/REAL is a unique experience that invites you to question your sensory certainties, challenging visual perception in surprising and engaging ways. Through an interactive exhibition designed for all ages, you can explore the mysteries of human vision through curious and entertaining experiments.

Discover how colors can trick the mind, dive into virtual reality to see the world through the eyes of animals, explore the ultraviolet spectrum as pollinating insects do, and be amazed by optical illusions.

After this journey, you’ll watch the moving images of your favorite TV series in a whole new way, walk through your city noticing the reasons behind some unusual architectural choices, and pay much closer attention to the color choices on the covers of books in your local library.

Get ready to see reality…

with different eyes!

PLAY!

INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION for schools

Have you ever wondered why a spinning top spins or how sounds travel through the air? What if play were the best way to discover science?

PLAY! is an interactive exhibition that turns curiosity into exploration, engaging visitors in fun and surprising experiments. With more than 80 exhibits, from games of the past to the latest technologies, you can experience first-hand the fundamental principles of physics: time, motion, fluids, sound, electromagnetism, and light.

An experience that makes science accessible to everyone through the universal language of play. Age doesn’t matter: all you need is a sense of wonder and a curious eye for the world around you.

Even a simple game.

PLAY 2020

Science-Theater

We’ve brought science to the stage too, combining art and technology. It’s been a few years since our last show, but if you’re interested in HYPERVISION, MEDICINE OF THE FUTURE, or COLORI IN SCENA, get in touch! In the meantime, below you can discover a little more about what each show is about.

HYPERVISION

An augmented reality journey exploring the vision of Homo sapiens and other animals on planet Earth.

How does vision work? What distinguishes the visible from the invisible? What secrets lie behind our perception of color? Is transparency an absolute concept, or does it depend on the eye of the beholder? What do bees, cats, and snakes see?

These are just some of the questions that guide us through this narrative journey, built around the sharing of visual sensory experiences. The narrator’s visual experience is enriched by a range of technological tools — including a virtual reality headset — and projected for the audience to share, alternating between simulations and scientific experiments.

MEDICINE OF THE FUTURE

With Tommaso Rosi & Andrea Brunello

Visual AR by Tommaso Rosi

Original music by Enrico Merlin

Text by Andrea Brunello

Scientific supervision by Graziella Pellegrini, Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita, Centro di Medicina Rigenerativa - Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia

Scientific support by Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia; Bologna; Parma; Ferrara

Co-funded by Regione Emilia Romagna

The show explores the importance of basic research in science. “Medicine of the Future” can only exist if society invests in research today, even without knowing whether it will lead to positive results — failure is common in science — and without being able to control when successful results might emerge. This is the show’s main educational objective, which we explore further during the Q&A session at the end.

The central theme is personalized medicine, which uses a patient’s DNA, sex, ethnicity, and age to identify the best available treatment. The show also introduces innovative gene therapies that are already being used to treat challenging conditions such as Epidermolysis Bullosa and corneal diseases.

Through the experience, audiences become familiar with these techniques and gain an appreciation of the profound revolution that personalized medicine is bringing to healthcare.

COLORS ON STAGE

What are colors? In this show, science and wonder come together. Through experiments, visual games, and storytelling, explore color perception, additive and subtractive color synthesis, and optical illusions. An interactive journey that captivates both eye and mind, bringing the physics of light surprisingly to life.
